Transitioning to Healthier Foods: Reducing Chronic Diseases and Easing Pressure on Healthcare

A Roundtable on Healthcare, Climate & Food Systems

Co-hosted by Future Economy Forum & Impact Stewards. By invitation only.

Mitigating the challenges and root causes of chronic disease through transitioning to healthier foods requires a cross-sectoral approach that promotes healthier environments, educates individuals about nutrition and lifestyle choices, and implements effective public health policies. As global populations age, the prevalence and cost of chronic diseases will continue to rise, highlighting the urgent need for innovation and investment in preventive measures to ensure a sustainable healthcare future.

Impact Stewards and the Future Economy Forum will bring together key actors from across sectors for a closed door roundtable, to explore actionable strategies for alleviating chronic diseases stresses on healthcare in alignment with promotion of healthy food systems and environments. The aim is to forge the connections and alliances that will allow these financial and strategic solutions to emerge and spread.

Participants include select senior leaders from policy, the food industry, retail, pharma, and insurance, who will convene to explore the challenges and opportunities associated with this transition and discuss action plans toward fostering healthier eating patterns globally.
