Scaling Regenerative Agriculture from India to Zambia and Brasil

Presenting the promising results of the first successful implementation of the award-winning, economically successful agro-ecological model, Andhra Pradesh Community-managed Natural Farming (APCNF) outside of India: improved yields, reduced costs, increased food security and improved resilience to extreme weather for smallholder farmers in Zambia. Rushank Bardolia the founder of GreenEarth Agro will share the experience in unlocking Africa’s idle farmland by empowering smallholders with land, finance and fair markets, starting from Ghana. Announcing plans underway to make these innovative models available to major networks of farmers in Brazil.

Scaling Land and Ocean Carbon Sequestration through Blue Economy and Finance

This event, co-hosted with Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution (WHOI) and NOW Partners Foundation, will explore how soil- and marine-based carbon sequestration solutions can be scaled and financed across agriculture, forestry, and ocean-based approaches. With the blue economy emerging as one of the fastest-growing sectors worldwide, the discussion will focus on designing financial mechanisms that support sustainable ocean initiatives, address loss and damage needs, and incentivize private-sector investment in ocean-friendly technologies. The session will highlight policies and pathways that maximize community and stakeholder engagement while aligning climate, ocean health, and economic resilience

During the evenings of COP30, as co-leaders of the COP30 Action Agenda, Brazil’s Ministry for Agrarian Development, NOW Partners Foundation and Global Academy are co-hosting the “Scaling Agroecology, Productive Forests and Blended Finance” series of Solutions Dinners.

With international partner organizations Foundation Development and Climate Alliance, MyClimate, Australian Conservation Foundation, Danone, and Food Tank, we are co-hosting solutions focused dialogues featuring local cuisine, in a location in central Belém conveniently located near several COP30 shuttle stops.

Outside of the intensity of the COP-zones, we invite participants to deepen dialogues and explore collaboration opportunities that following COP30 can lead to concrete outcomes. Events are by invitation only.
