Greening the Desert:
A visit to Sekem’s Wahat Desert Farm
- To get a deeper understanding and see more of Sekem’s work we now offer the opportunity to join a pre-retreat visit to Sekem’s inspiring Wahat Desert Farm and experience in person what it means to re-green the desert. More info here.
- Once you have registered for the Sekem Retreat there are no extra costs involved to join this pre-retreat journey.
- IMPORTANT: You must arrive to Sekem by on Monday Oct. 31st to be able to join the early morning departure on Nov 1st to the Wahat Desert Farm.
- Please be aware the journey to the farm is a 5-hour bus drive from Sekem’s farm near Caïro.
- After a tour on November 1st at the Wahat desert farm, we’ll enjoy dinner, a bonfire and stay overnight at this unique white desert. The next morning we’ll drive back to arrive in the late afternoon back at Sekem.
How do I join the pre-retreat trip?
- Simply check the box when you register for the retreat on this site.
- Limited spaces are available; we will indicate a waitlist when full.
- If you have already registered before October 13, please email us at welcome@futureeconomy.forum to declare your intent to join.
- Please arrive to Sekem by the evening of Monday Oct 31st in order to join shared transport for this trip.
